HiPicked up my new 09 Versa S on Tuesday and I've been enjoying driving back and forth to work for a couple of days. The timing was great considering the weather we had in SW Ontario over the past couple of days and the rough shape my old car (98 Volvo V70) was in.

2 questions:1. I need an armrest (arm feels like it's going to fall off)and I'vve read the threads about OEM vs others. Can a 08 OEM armrest fit into an 09 model? I called the dealership and they weren't sure.

2. I plan on transporting my kayak and wondered the setup everyone uses. ie factory rack + after market (Thule, Yakima) or strictly aftermarket

ThanksJim

The armrest should be fine... to my knowledge they haven't made any revisions that would affect that.

As for the other, most of us don't have factory racks since that's a '09 revision... Some people on here have the aftermarket, you can search by brand name and find thoughts, pics, and such...

Someone did an in-depth comparison between the yakima and another (perhaps the thule?) and if you look, I bet you can find it. (don't have time to search for you right now. Maybe tomorrow if you still need help or maybe someone else can ;o) )

that's what I remembered too, but I didn't want to give you wrong info w/o double checking.
