I know we've been doing the Registry thing here for a couple months and someone even got the exact procution number of verts from ASC, but I was just browsing Wikipedia and noticed they had the production number of all 240sx's and more specifically the verts listed there....

Production Numbers In the United StatesAll Models (including convertibles):1989 - 681181990 - 605821991 - 345341992 - 270331993 - 214711994 - 11671995 - 251141996 - 73341997 - 36551998 - 2178

Convertibles only:1992 - 21021993 - 38921994 - 1167

These numbers appear different from the numbers posted in AZHitman's thread... anyone have any thoughts on this?

I know wikipedia is often wrong and thats why they have the edit feature, but figured I'd post this to see what you guys thought.

I'd be curious to know where they got those numbers, since, according to ASC and Nissan, those numbers had never been released until we started working with ASC.

We should probably go in and make an edit, as well as a link to 240sxConvertible.com.

I agree, but figured I'd share what I came across before using any editing power.

i think the edit is a good idea. and i think the like would possibly bring in people who don't know about the 240sx convertible forum. We might be able to reach other unregistered vert owners

For what it's worth... I think our numbers are more accurate than Wikipedia.

We got our numbers directly from ASC which should be a very solid source.. Thanks again to Mr.Foully for his help with that.

I have seen other bits from Wikipedia that are not accurate in the past. I think anyone can submit an article if they choose.

I think we should submit our numbers to Wikipedia and tell them to edit their info and credit the correct info to NICO.

Everyone knows this is the worlds greatest source of information for 240sxconvertibles!!!

yea, I think they kind of assume someone will come along that knows what they're talking about and edit the articles accordingly. If its a ridiculous subject though they can just choose to erase it though. My friend wrote up an article on himself that lasted for like 2 weeks.

Also, considering we're supposedly the only ones with the info from ASC, those numbers are relatively close... wonder where/how whoever got that info originally.

Hi I am a new member from Canada, this might be an answer to your question about the numbers. The listing is reporting Convertibles in the United States, but there were limited numbers shipped to Canada also. This would explain the small difference.

Correct.

There were also some shipped to Europe as well.

I'm confident our numbers are accurate.
