First off everyone was okay. Wife and son were rear ended at a red light. Didnt look like too much damage but they are deeming the vehicle a total loss.

Very sad to lose this 2012 M37x with 31340 miles. She drove well, was decent on gas and was fun to drive.
Im wondering what is a fair value for a 2012 with 31400 miles and no flaws. It has an extended warranty til 2019 and a factory installed remote starter. Everything else is stock M37x with premium package.

Thanks all for all your knowledge it was fun while it lasted.

Wow, that sucks. Super low mileage considering the year. I'm at 104kmi and only a year older.

I'd use KBB and NADA to see what the private property sale is for a clean version of your car and then go off that. Pricing changes based on market/geography so it's hard to say.

Ilya. This why Im so bummed. about 6k a year. i bought used feb of 2016 and it had 16,000 miles. Geico used car sales based on non dealerships which are considerably lower than dealership prices. I feel it needs to be somewhere in the middle. If I get about 22.5-23k before taxes I will be happy. I went with KBB and Geico specifically said they do not use KBB pricing structure. I got prices from local dealership but had issues with me using dealership pricing. I told him it has to be somewhere in between and he has to consut his supervisor.

Ill call him twice a day to see whats going on. im at home with the kids for now so i have the time

Without knowing where you live with the technology package and miles or comes up with $24,800 at high retail. Low is $21,250 so the best thing is put your cars info for your area that you live for a more accurate dollar figure.

You should get the prorated money back on your extended warranty.

When my son totalled his car my insurance treated right, mainly because I just bought the car they refunded me taxes, repairs of $1400 and high book on the vehicle . I pay high insurance dues for great insurance for times like this.

Good luck

Andy

NADAGUIDES.com for a 2012 M37x with your mileage and tech? package puts the value:

Rough Trade In: $19,325
Average Trade In: $21,250
Clean Trade In: $22, 875
Clean Retail: $24,850

I think $22,750 is not a unreasonable quote...good luck with getting your money's worth -
you should look at a 5.6L Q70!!!

I'd be prepared to get the low end of value. I got several thousand less than I expected for my g35x last year when totalled. Part of it was at the the time there were only a few for sale and we're going for cheap, that what they use in their estimate.

Thank you all for the advice. I would take 22.5 for it. They offered about $1300.00 less than that and then you add the sales tax. For me to really feel good about it I would love to get 23k then I'd have something to work with in replacing the vehicle. At least they are paying for the rental and the car seats.

They went up an additional 200 bucks but I refused. Sent them a few other like vehicles from an Infiniti dealers in my area. Priced from 24-27k They told me the dealerships charge higher prices than a used car lot and they based it on those used lot prices. I made my case that I bought it from an Infiniti dealer and the price needs to be somewhere in the middle.

I haven't heard from them in a couple of days. So hopefully that's good news.

I think they gave it an average value and Im not happy with that number. They deemed the interior avg. meaning small tears and holes in head rest, carpet, pits in the paint etc. but there are no holes or tears and yes the exterior was hit so there are some paint issues but not prior to the accident.

Would love a M56 but I need a people mover since baby 3 came 3 months ago. Too bad Infiniti doesnt make a luxury Nissan Quest.

Thanks. Im hoping to get 1/2 of the warranty as that is whats left. Im not dealing with my insurance but the insurance of the person that rear-ended me. This is a pain.

Tell them your going to get a lawyer and that might put some great in them. I would also talk to your insurance and see if that could help. They really try to screw you so so it back..it's too bad that the extended warranty company might be the honest one
