Hey everyone, my wife has a 2000 I30T and still has the factory stereo/speakers (Bose). Curious if there are any Infiniti OEM stereos that will play MP3 cds, and fit her car? We aren't looking for an aftermarket unit, she kinda likes the OEM look of hers now, wondering if something out of, say, a G35 would fit and work? Any ideas? Perhaps those of you that have swapped out head units, either for other OEM, or any other aftermarket units could post some pictures on this thread so I could show her? Thanks a lot, hopefully we can find something for her.

Bump!

Ok, how about any pictures of I30 stereo installs by you guys? She wants something that has the larger characters on the readout. What options are out there?

Your options are pretty limited. The only other radio that would work would be from an i35, which has less upgrade options, therefore moving backwards.

The only thing you can do it add the usa-spec pa 12 nis ipod/aux adapter. This allows you to use your factory controls for the ipod or add a rca source. No text readout though.

Why not do a FM transmitter?

Wow McSteve, that's the cleanest I30 I've seen yet. Very nice. Wife loves it. In fact, she wants the grill, the headlights, and the radio/dash unit like that! haha I'll PM you this weekend, maybe you wouldn't mind giving us a little help with finding the lights, grill, and some info on the radio and how you got this stuff to fit? Awesome look!
