Take the wife out strapped into the passenger seat and show her what the M45 is all about. If that doesn't do it get her a Ford Focus. Worked for me. Now the wife won't touch the M. Don't sell it. It's going to be a classic.

Way too low on pricing. Us 2003-2004 M45 owners have to push these higher. Forget the dealer. This is going to be a classic and needs to start demanding classic pricing. I would not sell my 2004 M45 for less than $50K and I don't care who tells me its worth less. Just go and try to find a car that is in its class for less. BMW, Audi and forget Benz....they just don't have a model to compete. All M's from 2005 on should just get away from the 03-04 models. Yours are a joke made for sales on the G frames. Please go away.

I just got married 4 months ago and I would have the same problem if my wife drove the M. She has a 95 beater Altima. It is that way because she has made the decision for it to be that way. She has driven that all of the time and the M maybe 3 times over the last year since I got it. I am deathly affraid that she will trash the M as well. I did make her the promise that once she is ready to take care of her Altima on an ongoing basis we will look for a nice car. This still has not happened so I guess it does not matter enough yet.... Until then I will she will roll the Altima. I only fix problems on it that dis-allow it from running and being safe to drive. Kinda sucks it has to be like this! Besides this quality she is a great wife! haha

I would check your local area for M prices. I have mine posted for 21K with 67K and it has not sold in the last month. It is very nice and has all options as well as Navi.

Good luck, and hope this goes well! Kyle

I agree with the Focus suggestion. Put her in the penalty box.

If you want to try a little experiment, keep the M as a second car and get her a mid-level compact car. I guarantee that she'll be asking for the keys to the M a lot more.

Yes that is a great price!

I had to git rid of my 03 M45 (65K miles great shape w/ G35c wheels) in order to get my new Titan and only got about $19K on trade. I think it was worth more but I didnt have much time to work with.

Welcome to NICO!

That is a good price for that low mileage.

I can't let my wife drive the M45 at all...I have the 19" Sport wheels that will bend if she hits a pothole.

Wow....Glad you like your car, but those are bold statements. I really wouldn't refer to the newer M as a joke. Infiniti resolved all the quality issues from the 03 generation M on the current model and vastly improved the suspension to create a BMW crusher through the twistys. My car also hasn't consumed a single drop of oil. BTW good luck getting 50+ for your car...It wouldn't pull even that even if it was wrapped in triple mylar on the stage at Barrett Jackson.

Hello,While I love my 2004 as well, whoa nellie. I think the oil thing is truly blown out of proportion. I am not quite sure that the engine is really that different in the 06+ though. Needless to say, the 06+ will certainly crush the 03-04 on the skidpad. Problem is, who drives around in circles? In the slalom tests, acceleration and braking they are almost identical. Simply look at reviews faq. Would also recommend the Car & Driver test of the 2003 which is available online as well. While it would not be a shock at all if the 2003-2004 became collectible, you never know. Certainly has the whole very few being imported thing going for it. I would guess with under 2000 sold in 2004, the 04' would be the most collectible. Again, who knows. 2003's go for a good bit less than 2004's on the whole. I would guess a big part being many are still under the original warranty with a cost effective upgrade to the Infiniti Elite warranty being there for the offering. I also absolutely love where the CD player is in the 2004.(dash not glove compartment). In fact, this was a huge factor in getting a 2004. I drove 750 miles to pick up a 2004 that was C.P.O. I found tons of 2003's here in Florida for a great deal less. I just could not find a C.P.O here so I paid 5-6 thousand more for mine in Tennessee. To each their own. There seems to be a number of 2003's being available in the 14-17k range. While somewhat depressing since I paid 28 for mine last February, that has to be one of the greatest used car values ever. I would only caution that an extended warranty is a prerequsite for peace of mind. Too many Y34's were pretty much given away on absurd leases when they could not give them away new. Too many out there that were not treated with love by people who had to pony up an additional $50.00 a month to get a 50k car instead of a V6 Accord.Cheers,M.L

Can't stop laughing at "who drives a car on a skid pad?" So true. I know my pricing of $50K is way off market values. I am just hoping someday soon this fine car will stop depreciating and start appreciating.

Nissan ended the M in 2004 due to poor sales. I just don't understand why they re-invented it on a smaller frame, made about 2 hundred different versions, priced it higher......when it was great as is. Nothing wrong with the newer M's, they just aren't M's to me.

Maybe they could have called them N's. I guess the bean counters and marketing guys won on the M label. Like Ford......if it does not sell rename it a Taurus.
