Wife is Pregnant

You all probably realize that I like combining my posts for maximum content lol.

My wife has been feeling under the weather recently. I joked with her and said "Maybe you're pregnant". The next day, she made me eat my words

I'm scared ****less at this point. We weren't planning on having a child for another 2-3 years . Anyways, now we have to re-figure out finances (really great since her job ends next week) and where we're going to move to (or if we're moving at all).

The plan is to unload the news at Thanksgiving with the family. We decided to go on a healthy diet and excercise plan so she can hide it lol.

This really messes up plans for college, living abroad, and her 21st b-day in Vegas

My G35 is faster than yours

Threw the G on a dyno dynamics dyno yesterday. Did 3 runs. 1 warm up and 2 full pulls. Before I get into the details, post pictures, the dyon slip...etc. Here is some relavent info. The dyno dynamics dynos are typically known as "The heartbreaker". Why? Because they usually come up with lower numbers than any other dyno. To my understanding, there is no compensation for variables. You get TQ and HP at your sea level, with your humidity, and your temp...PERIOD.

I'm going to keep you all in suspense and see if Noah calls me or bans me hehehe. I'll also probably have to set up another dyno pull on a different machine to verify consistency, but my G35 is still faster than yours.

Speculation on numbers is welcome until I post pics hehehe (see my sig for my mods). The only thing not listed is a small adjustment to the stock intake where I blocked off the final baffle.

Awesome Swirl Remover

There is a thread in the Altima forums with a guy asking about getting a black alti-coupe versus another color. For those of you who have black Gs, you'll understand what I mean when I say they are a B*%CH to maintain. Washing and detailing are annoying, but the true problem comes in the are of scratches and swirl marks.

I tried using an orbital with the Turtle Wax Polishing compound. That stuff is a joke. I will admit that I used cheap bonnets, but even by hand, I was always left with a haze, not a shine.

The G also has swirl marks all over the body.

Anways, I have a few spots where the Turtle wax was pissing me off, so I went to Kragen to find a good swirl/scratch remover. The associate was nice, but not really helpful. I also was adamant about getting a product that smoothed out the scratches, not just filled them in.

I found it!!! The 3M scratch remover did an awesome job getting rid of the haze from the Turtle wax. I didn't even wash the car. I just dusted off the area and applied the stuff. Within 30 seconds, I have a beautiful polished surface (I only did a VERY small area).

It's very easy to use with very impressive results. I might do the whole car tonight and take pics for the Magazine submissions hehehe.

2005 G35 6mt Coupe- K&N Drop in filter, Blocked off final intake baffle, Blox 5/8 plenum spacer, lightweight flywheel.

I photoshopped the dyno sheet because I thought it was ugly and Robert "The Doc" folded it.

Here's the way it looked originally, so you don't think I changed anything important.

Thanks Sean,

That method only works for so long...hehehe.

I've never seen a "stock" G35 dyno so high. I was expecting 235-240. All of the G's on dragtimes.com came in WAY lower.

Actually...I think NOW is the time to move abroad! Your kid would have dual citizenship then I believe-maybe I'm wrong (it happened one other time before).

All in all I have a feeling you'll be pretty happy with everything in 9mos. (assuming you don't have to get rid of the G35 for the kid).

Congrats!

There were 3 Mustangs being worked on in the shop. 1 Saleen. 1 02ish with a magnaflow exhaust being fitted. And 1 that I can't place datewise. I'm guessestimating mid 60s. I did note that it had drum front brakes lol.

I have pictures on the camera. I'll see if I can post them up tonight.

I'm still wondering about those Dyno numbers. If I had the MRev2, Exhaust, Intake...I could see that, but mostly stock?

I might have to put it on a dynapack or dynojet to compare.

Procreation doesn't require a license, but driving does. Go figure.

Weird that you would tell the board before the family, though. Thanks, I guess.

Hate to say it, but you might consider a g35 SEDAN *snicker*....beats driving a mini-van....

Funny that you mention the license. I did a report for my college freshmen English Class on that subject. I completely agree. If only fertility was easy to turn on and off.

We're happy about it, just scared about how prepared we are. The family doesn't know yet because they will be SUPER critical and chew us out about it. The G-guys, and 2(?) girls, are much nicer about stuff like this.

I actually love the newer sedan (minus the annoying throttle feel), but it's too expensive and would require another 3k-5k in mods to make it "Nate Approved". I'm not a big fan of squishy suspension. Loose lateral traction. Or completely quiet engines.

Actually, I used the 3-M swirl remover for dark cars on my 97 Black Cobra. It had some really bad swirls. It did OK, but taking it off by hand was a HUGE PITA!!!!!! Zaino swirl remover did better. The older formula that is. The new stuff doesn't work as well.

If I come to visit it will be in a 737, not a Furd! I'm overdue for a trip to the west coast!

Nate your life is about to change!!! Enjoy your free time and time with the wife before bottles and diapers ruin, I mean, change your life!!

SVT I'm with ya on the kid part. My boys are 4 and 5 and I have coached their soccer teams twice already. They just started Kenpo and the three of us are doing it together (plus some shootfighting for me). It's only been a month but it has been fun.

Yeah Nate, I forgot to tell you that kids are great news. They change your life in a good way. Mine have flown the coop and all are successful and gainfully employeed, never borrow money and are a joy to be around. (Except the youngest, she just plain asks for $$$, no loan intended.)

Can you say M*i*n*i*v*a*n.

Congrats! Let see your probably 2-3 weeks along so due in April??

Get all the sleep you can get now! Oh and its almost impossible to just have 1 kid.

At least your wife is young so her body will snap right back to being hot. Oh and get ready for her boobs to grow at least a cup size thats never a bad thing right??

Don't ever let the kid sleep in your bed ever if you ever want to have sex again!

Jeff...You da man!!! Great advice.

Thank you to everybody else, because I read your advice and I liked it all, but Jeff's has predictions. I like this hehehe. The breast thing is already happening. A good friend of ours was joking earlier about making ice cream when his wife is pregnant hehehe.
