ok guys, for these wheels im getting, ideally im gonna want to run fender flares and change the sizing of the wheels to my spec, but i cant afford to do that just this minute, so im gonna have to run some ghetto (at least to me) tire sizes, and i wanted to know what you guys thought of this setup.

the wheels are the 18x7.5 9.5s that i posted earlier.

they are gonna be 18x7.5 +18 with a 1 inch spacer, moving it closer to -8. this is not really a problem since im running 3ish camber up front, i dont anticipate a lot of clearance problems in the front. what do people normally put on 7.5" wheels? like 225s or somthing? i was looking on tire rack and they have kumho MX in 215/35 on sale for cheap, but that tire size just seems so terrible. anyone ever ran a 215/35 18? how was it? i guess you could air it up in like 2 seconds though, lol.

for the rear, im gonna have to pull some super ghettoness im thinking. 18x9.5 +18 with 1 inch spacer putting it to -8, which i mean would fit, but i dont really wanna run that much camber in the back. the only option right now seems to be molesting my fenders. i was thinking of a 245/35 tire in the back, but tires in this size seem to be more expensive than others. im thinking 255 will *probably* not give me enough stretch, but im not sure. id like to run a 245 width, i did 235 on a 10 for a while and did not care for it.

well yea. any ideas?

ps - remember this is a bandaid until i can properly size the wheels.

225-40-18 front and 255-35-18 rear.those are are "propper" for those wheel widths...and will have the correct load index for you.

why didn't you get a 8" or 8.5" front? you're already going quite extreeme with the setup as far as camber and offset (I don't agree with what you're doing..but you coulda guessed that by now) why not get it decently wide up front so you don't induce understeer so much via tire size differentials?.....-Chet

yea this isnt even proper for my specs, which are already quite skewed.

whats going on right now is that im talking with a few different places on getting replacment wheel halves to change the 7.5" fronts to around a 10 or 11 width, and the 9.5 will be used in the front. then ill run somthing in the neiborhood of 255/275 stagger, im thinking. (there will be some wide fenders included somwhere in this equation)

but i sold my old wheels to pay for these, so i just kindof need somthing to roll around on for now, that dosent totally suck. i always have the option of buying some cheap stuff for my stock alloys, but that would look beyond horrible.
