I found the plugs for my speedo and found out that they were not connected. So I connected them and its startsto work,.... yay! ONce I let go of the throttle and the rpms go down the car shuts off. The rpms just drop and then die. Its like the car doesnt want to hold the rpms or somthing. At idle the car is fine, its just when you go and let off the gas its just drops. Can anyone explain this? Once I unplug the sensor the car runs fine again and idles good when i let off the throttle. IM using the ka harness with my sr motor if that helps.

You may want to buy the SR harness because that may be the problem.

i was having a simmilar problem. If i rev past 4000 and take it out of gear the rpms would fall off and the car would die. I was also haveing a lot of problems with the car backfireing. I messed with the idle a little and brought it up just a little bit and that helped a small amount. The i got a blow through MAF and the problem was completly solved. No more idle problems or backfire. Either of these solutions should help solve your problem.Dustin

Maybe you have a fuel leak. I dont know why the blow thru maf would solve that problem....buy maybe you ought to give it a try. Blow thru is placing the maf between the turbo and the throttle body. Put it after the intercooler, about a foot away from the throttle body.

Do you have an aftermarket Blow off valve that is not recirculated? If you do, you're blowing off air that is metered by the MAFS, causing the ECU to give the engine more fuel than the air flowing into the engine.

This means when you let it drop down to idle after accelerating, the engine gets too much fuel and dies. Your possible solutions to the problem (easiest to hardest):

- Get some type of Fuel management (S-AFC, etc.) or ECU that will compensate for this common problem. - Connect a hose from the BOV to your intake pipe AFTER the MAFS. (recirculate)- Do the "Blow-thru" setup and place the MAFS somewhere in the intercooler piping AFTER the BOV. More custom work is required and it cannot be done with the stock SR MAFS (Z32 mafs is needed). This is not recommended because of the difficulty and possibility of oil contamination from blow by oil in the intake.

Many people, including myself, do not recirculate and do not use a blow-thru setup. I get a slight backfire every few times the bov opens. It's not a big deal and the rpms do not drop.

There is clearly another problem. It could be the injectors. Or if your intercooler piping popped off that would happen. It sounds like air isn't rushing past the maf. It could be bad, and you can test it by following the directions in the fsm.
