wierd problem with my #4 cyl

so my motor is running like crap. we just pulled the coil pack and spark plug and the spark plug is crushed. no smoke no damage to piston motor still has some what of a smooth idle if u ignore the shaking from the lack of a piston.

any ideas on the crushed spark plug gap

Incorrect plugs would be my first guess, but it may have been some extreme detonation.

How old is the plug?

I saw this happen before...It knock the plug right out though. We looked under the hood and it was laying on the valve cover.

omg i would go absolutely bonkers if i saw that. but for serious the spark plug want smashed flat. there was no gap what so ever. i want to figure out how to post pictures because u guys gotta see how bad this thing was and is
