wierd problem... on my 95 Q

hey everyone. sometimes when I take off from a stop my car hesitates a little and then jerks sorta hard, spinning the tires a little. And sometimes it almost feels like when i take off its in 2nd gear or something like its sluggish. Has anyone else had this problem? any Ideas on what it is...? thanks

as far as i know... there isnt any. i have only owned the car for about a month. it doesnt do it all the time, just once i a while.

I wouldn't think transmission, unless it revs-up before it jerks. Your description sounds more like a combustion/power issue. You press the gas and not much happens for a second? - like that?

Since you recently bought the car used, it probably needs some attention - things like intake path cleaning, MAF cleaning, etc. Does it only happen from a dead stop? Any signs of hesitation or bucking while moving?
