wierd o2 sensor readings

well i have a power fc and it said for o2 voltage that i have 1.2-1.4 volts..... checked wires there right.... though they were only suppose to go from 0.1-1v ... this might explian alot...any help would great

yeah, with a zirconia type sensor you get .1-.9. if you happen to have a titania type sensor it will have the higher range. the reason is that a titania type operates off of a reference voltage from the ecm. im not sure if 240s ever came with the titania type but it is the only reason i can think of that you would have the higher voltage range.

no it is a stock 87 300z o2 sensor..... this might be why i am runnign really rich

does it sweep from one extreme to the other or just stay at one voltage. over 1 volt is definately a prob other than just running rich. you cant run rich enough to make a zirconia sensor go to 1.2 volts.

sweep...i may have a lose conetion but i have checked all the wires and everything is tight... and where you hook up by the battrie is getting steady voltage

well sweeping is good...you may want to try checking at the sensor. buy some t-pins from a sewing supply store(my wife buys mine from "joanns fabrics". stick them in the back of the connector to monitor the voltage while running(and driving).
