Wierd noise comming out of my speaker when i turn on my headunit

Hey all!

I just got my firs 300zx! a 1991 NA 2+2.

The problem is the headunit does not work. When i turn it on i get this wierd high pitched squeal comming from the passenger side speaker and nothing in the other speakers.

I have a bose surround sound system with bose speakers and a bose headunit and cd player.

Any help would be greatly appreciated its hard to drive without music!

I gotta tell ya I'd just go aftermarket but coud be the head unit ? or maybe the "amp" ( I seem to recall the bose models had a remote located "amp")

From what i looked up every speaker has an amp in it.I went to crutchfield and got all the pieces needed to install a aftermarket headunit. Hopefully that will solve the problem.

did a new head unit solve the problem? bec.ause i am having the same problem
