WIERD NOISE COMING FROM IGNITION

Ok! this might just have a simple answer but I don't know?

currently now every morning when I'm about to turn the key JUST BEFORE THE ACTUAL IGNITION; there's this lite CRACKLING sound coming from under the hood.

the sound is something more like electrical than mechanical!

Does anybody know if this is normal ????

check your distributor cap and rotor they might be rubbing and causing friction

You msay be hearing arcing across the plug wires. This is bad. If the plug wires are old replace them.

If you can have somebody look at the engine while you try to start the car they may be able to see the arcing and then you will know where to start looking.

check battery cables and cables going to the starter.
