Dude i have the same prob and it started out of no where. I still dont know what it is and its been like 2 weeks!

I did that screwdriver trick where you can pinpoint the noise and its coming from my fuel injectors. im going to the dealer to it checked out tomorrow. Ill give you any info i get from them.

K well they said theres nothing wrong with my injectors but im pretty sure they didn't even bother to really check it, took them like 5 seconds of looking at it to finalize if there was something wrong... and they said that if it wasn't making that sound then thats when i have a problem and it wasn't making that sound before so im still wondering what it is.

It may seem like a stupid question but what kind of gas are you using? I've heard of people putting 87 octang in their 350Z and it causes the engine to make a knocking noise. The manual says to use 91 or better.

alright so I did some research and came across this Seafoam stuff that cleans out your entire engine pretty much. So I tried it out and put a whole thing in my gas tank a whole thing in my crankcase and about 1/3 into my intake. I let the one in the crankcase sit there for a day and let it run for about 15 minutes then I changed my oil and put some 5w30 royal purple and after a day of driving the tick is pretty much gone and it drives alot smoother to. So maybe try that out and if it doesn't work i would take it to a dealer hopefully you will get better assistance than i did at the dealer you take it to.
