i was looking through my apex afc neo to make sure everything was correct because it was installed by the previous owner. well i came across this issue with the hot wire sensor setup. i have a z32 maf which in the book says its hw-2. and my ecu for a 96 zenki s14 sr20det is a hw-5. so i look at the settings and its set 2 in/ 6 out. which does not match the manual. so i changed it to 2 in/ 5 out and the car automaticly stalled and would not stay on after when i tried re-starting it. my question, is the manual wrong or is something up with my ecu. i have noticed that the car runs lean. the plugs are white. i have 740cc tomei injectors and a walbro pump dont see why it could be lean. thats why i looked into the afc settings and found this. any help appreicated.

IS your car a S14 or the motor? HW-6 is for the SR just for blacktop and redtop motors. I had this problem with the KA on my buddies SAFC. The KA is supposedly a HW-5 but it wont run on HW-5 but 6 works.

Also 740cc injectors on a SAFC? You need to step up and get a Power FC or a rom tune.

yea i am looking into a power fc now. my engine is definatly a s14 blacktop. it has the slant on the back. and the ecu is code WC which is a zenki s14 ecu. i cant figure it out maybe its a glitch but its making my car run lean even with big injectors

Sell that AFC, use the money to send off your ECU for an Enthalpy tune and call it a day. I don't think I would trust an AFC to run anything larger than 500cc injectors no matter how tyte it looks with all its pretty lights and gauges.
