I have a funny clunking sound from my front passenger side when I go over bumps, or when my wheel moves up adn down. I went under my car. the only thing that I saw was kind of loose was the sway bar bracet. In that one of teh screws holding it on was out about 2 treads. So I tightened it up adn the sound went away for about 2 miles. then like a vicious women reappeared. I looked at the same screw again and it was loose again. So the question is "does the bracket holding the sway bar to the car screw into some part of the frame or is there a nut behind the screw somewhere?"

My '90 has studs and the sway bar D-brackets are held on with nuts. Different because of either year or the active susp. The rears are bolted onto the rear subframe, and there's no play or visible access, so I'm guessing the nutplates are welded in. Hope that's not the case with your fronts. Yikes.

I'm not sure what any of that means. But doesn't sound good.

Get the FSM. Study it. Then read the TSB.
