I am some what new here so I apologize if this is an old issue...

I have been debating between putting the RB25 or 26 into my S13. I have looked at specs and write ups all over the place. One thing I seem to be having trouble finding is the actual weight of each motor by itself compared to the KA24. My concern is taking a car with a nearly 50/50 weight distribution and throwing that away by dropping a way heavier motor in it. I am looking for the actual weight of all three motors by themselves.

I am looking to drift the car when I am done. Thanks in advance for any help or advise.

RB26 weighs more because two turbos hang off of it.

There's people who drift their cars with the RB25 just fine like Mark from SlideSquad. He says it's no worse than having an SR. It's like 60 pounds heavier or something like that. From the RB20-25-26, each swap gets almost exponentially more expensive. YOu can more or less drop the RB20 right in, the rb25 requires a custom driveshaft...

But the RB26 not only requires custom mounts if you want to keep the twins, but it requires you to get an rb25 transmission, rb25 oil pan and custom downpipe on top of all that other stuff you need for a 25 swap.

yep im locking this thread

the weight distribution thing is blown out of perportion. in a 25 swap is around 150lbs, the majority is in the transmission. weve had corner weighed s13-RB25's and the overall weight has changed about 2% more to the front.
