title says it all, ive searched quite a bit but it doesnt ask answer the specific question, im going to get a full drft kit and paint the car black myself (mcS14). Looking for the widest rear wheels to fit my car without a widebody kit. I will be getting a coilover kit, i only have the eibach prokit with kyb struts. and also z32 rotors/calipers. What is the widest tire i can fit in the rear and what about a good tire upfront without them looking like skinnies? Thanks alot, and no it wont be for a show car, im putting together a ka-t engine for upwards of 450whp

You could EASILY fit a 275 on a 17X10, +35 wheel.

Less offset, you'll need a roll/pull (or more camber).

More offset and it'll start to get close to the shock.

Guys have run 285...but some 285s are skinnier than 275s, depends on the tire brand.

...and you could squeeze more back there, just depends on wheel choice, suspension, etc.

i run a 275 tire on a 17x9.5 rim, and the only way i dont rub is i have about 3.0 deg of negative camber, once i fix that ill probably stretch a 245 and roll the fenders.....

in reality a 17x9 should be wide enough, with a 275 r compund tire and the right offset, youll have a setup that wont need camber or fender pulling and youll have enough traction for 450 whp

17x8 in the front is good... and a 245/45/17 fills the wheel well nicely and doesnt look like a skinny.... something in the 25-30 offset is desireable... since i have a 22 offset and they stick out a bit...

btw 18's are useless for anything other than show... they weigh too much and you get into fitting problems at alot smaller rim widths
