Okay, i'm going to be getting my GT25R on the stock fuel system. I was going to get it dynoed just to make sure the A/F ratio is good so I don't lean it out (running 7.25psi).

I noticed several places sell widebands for a decent price (AEM, http://www.ka24de.com, lsauto.com, etc). Are these widebands any good? It might be easier if I just got a wideband rather than spending the money to get it dynoed. I'm eventually going to get 740cc injectors and a retuned ECU, but that's at least a month away, i want to be able to drive it before that.

Should I get a wideband or just get it dynoed with A/F ratio?

Well you can't tune with a wideband...it's just a sensor w/ a meter/gauge. You'll still need something like an emanage/safc/standalone/exc. If you have one of those and just want a 'safe' street tune, than it would be wise to tune w/ a wideband. The problem though is that unless you have a datalogger too, you't won't be able to tune (or go to a dyno). If you have to go to a dyno anyway, they should have a wideband to hook up with.

I think that you're worrying way too much about running the turbo on the stock fuel system. It isn't going to be flowing that much more air than a T25 at similar boost levels.

actually 7.5 psi on a t-25 vs. 7.5 psi on a gt25r will be quite different, but you should be fine on the stock fuel system. just have someone hookup a wideband on the dyno to check the a/f ratio.

A lot of people scared me, I just don't want to lean it out. I guess i'll just go get it dynoed.

It's $90 to get it dynoed with A/F ratio (HP and TQ). So I'm just going to do that...

Where are you getting it dynoed at? I want to get mine dynoed soon, and $90 seems like a reasonable price. How many runs do you get?

It's $90 for the 1st pull, then $15 per pull after that. I don't know how good that price is. But it's okay with me. I'll probably do 2 pulls.

I'm in Lancaster, Ca. It's at RE Racing (re-racing.com) it's too far from you. I'm sure there are places a lot closer where you can get just as good or better pricing.

I uses a wideband on my setup for day-day driving and for street tunning. I have a plx unit, it was $32 and the install is a snap. It has both wide and narow outputs for diffrent gauges. I have it hooked to my greddy e-01 so that way if the air/fuel runs to lean ( a point that i set up) It instantly lowers the boost to what my wasgegate is set at, 4psi. Works great so even if i have an injector start to crap out on my im still on the safe side. Works great. Also these new wide band sensors are good for over 60,00miles daily driven as there stock VW parts. Just a little info fo ya

With that turbo and boost level you don't need a dyno tune, your stock ecu and fuel system can handle that, thats about like a T25 running 16psi, if you feel the need for comfort, get a wideband and a AFC and you'll be just fine

Best feature to price for a wideband is by far the PLX Devices range.

Get the M-300 if you don't need logging, or the M-500 (i think that's the #) if you want data-logging.

ya those are the cheapest (good value) but if u can splurge buy the FJO....it ownz....

The tune from SS is incredible....when the temps are right (75deg ish) the GReddy A/F reads 12.0:1-11.8:1 generally at full spool....thats near perfect....the safc is zeroed out...only thing is that Scott Avoy doesnt work for SS anymore....hes gone independant,,,noit sure if he still does the rom burning tho...he might....hes the man that pulls off the ill ecu tunes

I'll need mine tuned for 91 octane.. I hope they still have something for me. I'm just worried that somthing will not work out right with it. Is there anyone left there that can still do a good job?

They're too far from me though. 90 is a lot.... I'll look for some other local places.
