I'm just looking for suggestions/ reviews of the different widebands you guys have used. I was thinking about the AEM UEGO, but befor I bought anything I thought I'd get some input from all you.

I have the LM1 wideband. It works well and I like the fact that I can data log with it and have more than one input going to it like rpm, boost ,water temp. Dont know if you can do all that with the AEM. Only thing that kinda sucks is the big *** control box that it comes with.

I dont think it's a thread jack as it continues the origional question... How about narrow band emulation. Are there ones better than another? For instance, I have a PLX M-300 WB. Anybody have any real issues running a single WB sensor and letting the unit output the NB signal to the ECU.

Yeah, I looked into the LM-1, but I didn't like the huge box that was going to be needed to control it. But, I don't want my interior to be cluttered with gauges. It's a tough life owning a 240

This is how I have mine setup because I didn't want to have to install a second O2 sensor. Works no problem, after I had the right ECU wires. Just be careful and check before you start cutting wires.

LM-1 FTW...it's a tuning device, not something to be mounted. You don't want the wideband O2 sensor left in the exhaust permanantly anyway. They wear out faster and aren't cheap to replace.

Oh my brain hurts...lol. I'm going to be running a Enthalpy tuned ECU, but I still want to monitor AFR's. Would you still recommend the LM-1?

http://www.injectedperformance...=3048Is this what you all with the LM-1 recommend?

I have an Innovate Lc-1.http://www.injectedperformance...=3066Marty from injectedperformance got me a good deal on one with a gauge.I need constant AFR monitoring with my DIY tuning megasquirt setup, and soon to be ka-t.

Then, along with the LC-1, you would need the gauge/display?

I have this setup, an Enthalpy ECU and still have a wideband with narrowband output to my ECU.

I forgot to mention before I'm using the PLX M300. Easiest to install IMO, because it doesn't require calibration.

Zeitronix!

Dude you will love this WB system. For 300 bucks you get the controller and the o2 sensor. They have accessories like a AEM style AFR gage, a LCD screen that displays all your vitals, and a warning audio/visual box that can be programed to go off whenever you want. It can also be hooked up to a engine kill solenoid, in the event that you over boost or your AFRs arnt within your set safety margin. Its completely programmable, with multiple variables, if/and situations, ect.

The zeitronix unit with a laptop will data log AFRs/TPS/RPM/EGT/Boost. It can also be hooked up to a 0-5 volt system. I use it for the maf sensor, it can also be used for a knock sensor, among other things.

It also has a 7 times faster data sampling rate than a LM-1.

I cant say enough about mine, it made tuning my brothers SR a snap. The data logging software is soo easy to use. I havnt really messed with it on my ka-t yet, but its in there doing its thing. Just have to hook up a wire to the controller, which is about the size of a credit card, and one inch thick.

IMO the AEM unit is a bust, 300 bucks and it just gives you a gage and a sensor. No data logging, or anything cool. LM-1 is nice, however last i checked the unit with all the bells and whistles is like 500 bucks. However, if you have a stand alone ecu with WBO2 support, the LM-1 has a new setup thats like 180 bucks that will just give a WB output to your stand alone. Thats the only way id use a LM-1. The PLX unit's are bulky, and expensive.

Check out their website, just google Zeitronix.

What is a WBO2 controller that requires calibration? I know that mine is auto calibrate..

As far as narrow band o2 sensor emulation, i have heard bad things about it across the board. From what iv heard the narrowband sensor does a much better job.

Also, as long as your WBO2 sensor is mounted atleast 18 inch's away from the turbo you can get 50k miles out of them or more so i have heard. The WB sensors are about 70 bucks shipped on ebay, the bosch ones.

Are you going to be doing datalogging? Tuning yourself?

I've heard nothing but good things about PLX.

I'll be getting the "DM-5 + SM-AFR Combo" but I won't need datalogging. I also will be using a ECU Tune of some sort (probably Enthalpy) http://www.plxdevices.com/products/dm5/afrsmcombo/ - $269

EDIT: Also, when using a SR20 outlet, that location is too close to the turbo for a wideband? I will be consistantly using a wideband, regardless of being tuned or not for a piece of mind.

I run zeitronix as well, been rock solid for 3 years, permanently mounted for the past 50k miles. I run the output to my E-01 screen but you can run it with gauges and it has nice data logging capabilities.

480sx- I just checked out the website, and I'm pretty much sold. That thing is awesome and you can't beat that price.Neejay- No tuning myself yet, going with an enthalpy for now. I want to tune my own stuff, but I wouldn't even know where to begin.

Keep 'em coming guys. Who knows, this could help some other newb like myself.

I run an Innovate LC-1 with the display going through my Apexi TT, works very well, and was very cost efficient. PLUS it can read low enough for E85!

sorry but also rocking the zeitronix. been in the car for 3 years now. the datalogging is amazing and i can't really see anything else on the markets that logs as quickly as it. customer service is great also. i would look for any group buys going on and see if you can hop on one.

spend about 4 bones on a tech edge and still have not gotten it to work...if i ever get it to work it will be worth it. 7 inputs with data logging.
