hi, i searched on here and found a couple of threads, i have a uego and have been debating on where to mount the o2, i was wondering if i mount it in the testpipe on a s14 would it be too far from the actual block to maintain the correct heat to give an accurate reading, i was thinking of taking out the rear 02 sensor and mounting it there but i know that will throw a code hence the reason why i dont want to do that.

Wide band O2s have an internal heater built in. So you could actually put it anywhere in the exhaust system. If you have a cat though it needs to be mounted BEFORE it. Most good lambda kits have an analog output (narrowband emulator). You could take out the first one , use the analog output ( 0-1v) and your ecu won't know the difference.

Analog can also be configured to output 0-5v also for later year cars.

i think the aem only has the 5v output which is the white wire, and if i hooked it to that it would prolly show that its running rich all the time just about

Directions usually say where placement should be for it. Off hand I remember innovate widebands said something about at least 14" from the turbo(downpipe) at a certain angle, like 2oclock never 6o'clock as condensation build etc. can less then life of the sensor. Also a good idea to make a copper diffuser.. Check innovate website should have the instruction manual in pdf to read over.

If the instructions say its not configurable then leave the stock one in. Any good muffler shop can weld you in a o2 bung anywhere you want. I'd put it in the test pipe.
