lookin' to get the AGX wideband monitor from the group buy from sparkplugs.com.....my quesiton....

the monitor comes w/a new o2 sensor.....do i replace my oem one w/that and then hook up the necessary wires for the unit to work?? i noticed that there are 2 plugs w/the unit and thats it, i'm assuming one goes to the actual monitor itself and the other plug looks like it would plug right up to the plug in my engine bay (the plug where the original o2 wiring plugs into)

reason i ask is because i've heard of having to weld in another bung in order to run a wideband and then splice the wiring into an injector wire.....the AGX comes w/no such wires to splice in.....the kit seems to be completely snap and play

any help would be greatly appreciated

thanks

wrong, one plug goes to the monitor and the other one goes to the new 02 sensor, the one that comes with the kit, and yes you have to weld the bung to your downpipe. in other words you will end up with two O2 sensors in your car.

I dont know the Wideband personally but my buddies PLX R-500 completely replaced his old O2 Sensor and he had to splice into his harness but it worked great.

ok....when i unplug my oem o2 sensor from its clip......i can't just plug in the new harness and new o2 in right there......and then just plug the monitor in and be good???.....or is it pretty much that the original o2 cannot be replaced w/the new o2???....

so if u have 2 splice into wiring where would u do that???

No becuase the signal from your O2 sensor still has to go to the ECU. ALso stock O2 sensors are narrow band, being that if you swapped in a wideband in it's place your ECU will not read the signal properly, hence the reason for running a stock O2 and a wideband.
