im really looking into getting a wideband o2 for my rb25det s13, just wondering what your guys input on it. which are good? which to stay away from? also, for you guys who have it already, for widebands that come with new sensors, do you just replace the stock o2 and then splice? thats one part that confuses me.

so how did you guys hook it up? im guessing the new o2 sensor has to be spliced or something to to ecu, or do you just completely leave that off? i was thinking about getting the NGK AFX.

I have the zeitronix wb02. It's probably the cheapest but it packs more per $. Some wb02's have the ability to output a narrowband o2 feed for the factory ecu, so you have the option of just removing and replacing the stock wb02.. Just check out the specs of each.

Innovate LM-1. I love it although it's a little big.

zeitronix is on of the best and you can log several things with it. However, you can't put a WB o2 in the stock location because it is too close to the high heat and will fail faster than normal. Almost all brands will say to put the sensor at least 24" from the head or turbo, some even say 36.

Most wideband kits come with a bung that has to be installed (or DIY). I had it welded onto my downpipe so I could run the wiring up in front of the shifter and under the center console/dash. They recommend that the sensor be placed above the 3 o-clock and 9 o-clock positions if you're looking at the exhaust straight on. This is to minimize the possibility of the sensor fouling from moisture pooling on it.

BTW I have the Innovate LM-1 and still haven't used it yet. F***ing motor.

I just ordered the NGK AFX wideband 02, it was $270 shipped. I'm hoping for it to be delivered today, but we'll see.

If your kit doesn't include the bung you can get them from NAPA autoparts for about 2 bucks. Just make sure that any gasketed connections before the sensor have flat flanges and good gaskets. You don't want ANY exhaust leaks before the sensor.
