I think I'm going to tune my car myself.Instead of going down to a dyno.Because I plan to up the boost soon so it'd be a waste of $$$. I'll still go to a dyno to get my #'s though. From what I have researched on here my decision has come down to either the AEM http://injectedperformance.com...id=61 or the LC-1 http://www.innovatemotorsports...age=1Both of these allow me to fake the signal back to the ecu correct? I don't want to weld a bung into my DP. All I would need to do is unscrew my 02 sensor screw in the wideband sensor and run a wire to my factory 02 sensor line correct? Thanx for your help. Need to decide by Monday...

Prolly best to keep the stock O2 sensor and put another bung in.

But PLX has some good setups too. A lot cheaper and more compact than most. It also allows you to "fake" the signal back to the ECU. I got mine at Streetrays.com for IIRC $320 shipped or close to it.

I have the PLX M-300 and if I were to fake the signal, would putting the wideband sensor in the location of the factory o2 decrease the life or accuracy of the PLX's sensor? Is this what you did Nissanfanatic?

Back to my thread starter....Can i use either of these to where I just screw them in my factory O@ sensor. And they come with a wire so I can still feed narrowband to my ecu? Or am I goign to have to weld my DP?I don't want to remove my dp....But seems I might have to.....Please educate me on these 2 products.

Actually, 1WheelWonder, I just switched it out tonight. I put my wideband in my stock 02 sensors location. I had been running them separate but I want to see if my readings change any. I have heard that closer to the turbo yields more accurate readings.

Florida240sx, No, you can use the narrowband output from the wideband controller to give your ECU a narrowband reading. Although I have heard that sometimes, the ECU doesn't like the wideband's output. Heresay is all though. I will give you my results after I drive the car some.

most wideband sensors specify that you should have the sensor around 18" to a few feet downstream from the turbo to prevent damage to the sensor. I personlly just got an extra bung welded in and called it a day, its not to difficult to do and I never have to worry about it. Ive put 13K miles on my wideband sensor and it still works like the day I got it so Im happy with my decision.

I'm not wanting to weld into my DP would rather just fake the signal.Only going ot be in the car for a little while.Once my VG runs it'll be in it. So was hoping wither of them would give a signal for narrowband.

for some quick tuning purposes I guess you could use either of them and not use your o2 sensor or narrowband feed altogether, during WOT runs the car doesnt use the o2 anyways, when you are done tuning just put the stock o2 back in, thats one option.

the inovative LM-1 has the narrowband feed option for sure if thats what your looking for.

My car ran fine all day with the narrowband output from the wideband.

Right you are virus77, but the wideband gives more accurate readings closer to the turbo. I don't mind replacing mine once a year or so to have wideband readings 24/7.

but wouldn't that be prone to exhaust leak? And from what I hear JB weld doesn't stand up to well...Or will it work in this case?

Not a good idea to "rig" something that gives you life or death readings for your engine. Just my .02
