I work in autobody and autoparts, and i'm always tring to find alternitive parts.I was checking threw my stock on O2 sensors and I was looking for factory widebands.

Is it possible to wire in a factory wideband 02 sensor? I found mostly 5wire sensors, one were univeral application, but you can always cut and splice.

Depends you could wire up the wideband so that it reads in a Narrowband fashion. But than again what the hell would be the point just get a regular O2.

If your asking can the ecu use a wideband in a actual wideband purpose than NO. 2 reasons wideband is a 0-5v signal where as the Narrowband is 0-1v. What this means is that the ecu can only interpret that 0-1v signal. 2nd reason is the ecu doesnt have a controller which is pretty much what heats up the sensor, calibrates it etc etc.

So other than using the wideband as a narrowband the answer is no.

Way to post the SAME thing in multiple forums. Dont bother, it wont work. If it did, no one would be going out and buying wideband controllers.
