I've searched through everything and I can't find a wiring diagram on how to hook it up properly. Anybody know where I can find a write up on this?

What kind of wideband do you have? What are you trying to hook it up to?

You can't just take a 5-wire wideband sensor and hook it into the ECU just so you know.

What wideband kit did you buy? It should have instructions with it. Please don't tell me you just went out and bought a wideband o2 sensor.

no I haven't bought any kit yet. I was looking for a write up on it so I can see whats involved with the wiring. As for what its going in...an S13 with an S14 SR. All I'm looking for is a generic wiring diagram or the actual instructions from a kit.

i can tell you about the techedgeV2.thats what i have.it's real easy.just run power for the unit and the cable for the sensor and it'll read lambda, but the cool thing is you can run signal from RPM.and 2 other 0-5v sensors(your choice) and i think 3 thermistors, and it will log all that as well. i have RPM,MAFS voltage, and TPS voltage all wired in and displayed on my palm for logging.

Whatever you buy will have its own set of instructions. From what youve given us, I can provide these instructions:

Ther are some wires that need to be hooked up,

some sensor that goes somewhere in the exhaust,

and some little screen that shows some fancy smancy numbers/lights.

If this is vague, then now you can understand how you are making us feel. What we can answer is how one works, and then you have to make the decision to buy one, follow the instructions and educate yourself....

And for all of us reading this... FFFFFUUUUUUU*(^&%^(*&&*^KKKKK!!!!

Here you go...I think this is what you're getting at:http://www.machv.com/wio2sekit.html

It can feed your stock ECU w/ the correct voltage so you don't have to weld in a new bung but the display will give you the accurate wideband reading.

The one you just linked to is a PLX devices wideband, and can be had much cheaper directly from PLX.

that said, the size of most 5-wire o2 sensors (the common ones are bosch) won't fit in the stock o2 sensor hole, you'll have to weld on another bung anyhow.

another that said, most every wideband setup on the market has a narrowband (0-1v) output, so you can hook it up to the stock ECU.

I'll be watching ;)

I would say the best-know ones on the market are:Techedge (available premade or as a DIY kit)PLX Devices M-300 (or M-500 for logging ability)Innovate Motorsports LM-1Zeitronix ZT-2

You DO NOT have to weld in a new bung if you keep the stock o2 housing. You get a 22mm socket on the bung, spray the hell out of it with PB Blaster and then torque the crap out of the bung. It will come out with enough force, but remember it is part of the exhaust system so it is basically welded to the o2 housing over time.

Once you remove the old bung, the hole left is a 15mm threaded hole exactly the size of the Bosch LSU.4 and the wideband NTK sensor.
