I have 17x11 rear wheels with a 6 in backspace and 17x9.5 front with 5.5 in backspace. stock is a 5in backspace

wheels do not rub on inside but I need widebody fenders and am trying to figure out how wide I need.

I figured maybe the 40mm d1 fenders in front and 50mm rear Any advice would be great. I bought the wheels with out putting to much thought into how they would fit under the body.

I would put pics but I have not yet figured out how to post them

not quite sure about offset if someone could explain that would

thanks for info

I guess my question is will they actually fit over my wheels?

I have 285/40/17 on 11 wide my rim sticks out 3in past the fender andtire tread(footprint) sticks out about 2.25 past when I compress the spring so that tire touches the fender.

using those measurements should give you an approximate idea since the overfenders are 50mm beyond that of the oem ones.

50mm = 5cm.

if it comes down to it, im sure you could even put flares on the widebody fenders, or i know they make 70mm rears.

why do you have such massive rear wheels? drag?

I am planning going to build a car with about 450 hp and I figured I would need big wheels for traction.

I rushed into buying them because I smashed in my passenger sid quarter panel drifting near a dump site. the ground was apparently very slick as it was

when I had my car in the shop I was going to get some porsche fenders custom put on and I needed my wheels for the guy to build around.

I regret buying the wheels but I still want at least 10 r and 9 f I almost went with 15x10 f and 15x12 r nascar style rims.

so you say someone makes a 70mm?

I saw a bodykit on ebay from nsptuner that had *******huge rear fenders.

I am liking the 50mm with flares though. good idea

Is offset a measure of how far your wheel sticks out past where they are bolted on?

20mm wide fenders front, 50mm rear

you can actually push them in a little bit, you wont even need that much...on that note you could run 30mm rears and pull them a tad

simple truth of fat rear wheels and front is I want to have the traction to beat any lambo or ferrari I see on the road.

No point of having incredible horsepower if I can not get my tires to stick enough to do 0-60 in under 4sec. and take corners at double the speed I should be. thats what I call fun

Shut up, yoko.

450: Build the power first. Then worry about putting it on the ground.

Buying wheels first is, well.... You know.

And 450hp isn't "massive".

Repeat after me: "Tire compound determines 'traction', not width."

I thought the original post was fine until you mentioned you'll be driving it on the street. If it was dragstrip-only it would've made more sense to do the huge rear wheel setup (although generally that's the last thing you do after the motor's done with)

I know it was stupid but now i have them. I smashed in my rear fender and had to put gas by hand one gallon at a time. Took to body shop to get fixed and let my friend convince me it would be worth it to get all thebody work done at once. So I bought the springs wheels and tires to make my car sit how I wanted. I rushed into it and it was stupid.

By the way I originally was planning to twin turbo a chevy smallblock I have sitting in my frineds garage and getting 600 whp out of it hence the 11 in wide wheels.

With the sbc motor I was going to get aluminum heads and water pump to lighten it about 50-60lbs. Even with long tube headers bulging out the motor is two inches narorower in width and about 4inces shorter which means with the motor slammed up agianst the fire wall more of the motor will be sitting behind the front axle improving handling. when I decided I wanted to buy a tpi setupfor the motor I realized it would be cheaper to either go with a vh45de or a vortec 5300 which has 285 hp and 325 lb/ft. both all aluminum.

regardless, get some 30 or 50 over rears and 30 or 2 over fronts and you should be fine iwht camber

I'm asking this but it may also apply to the op. I got a s13 coupe and I've found nothing but 50mm rear fenders. are there any other sizes available?

I'm paid to NDI the entire aircraft including the engines, what's your point?

your paid to NDI mounts, not engines

ie on a T56Dynafocal mounts for hte gearbox, rear cones, truss mnounts

and when we find a crack

I dontl ike you NDI types anyways, your too picky on how clean you want it, but you wont pick up a wire brush to help while you just stand there watching.....no big deal though

incorrect, origin only offers a 30mm rear for the hatch not for the coupe.

check for yourself.http://www.origin-lab.com/inde...b=S13

I was gonna get all origin parts, body kit f and r fenders and the roof wing but they came up short on the 30mm rears.

Well if you understood why we NEED things so clean then you would understand.

And wire brushes are a big no no as they are abrasive and will blend the metal over a possible crack.
