i'm looking for a wide body and i've noticed that there are 30mm and 50mm sizes (widths) for the rear panels. i'm not sure which ones to buy and exactly how wide they are compared to each other. i'm thinking that i would rather have the 30mm because 50 seems really drastic. i didn't plan on doing the front fenders but if it were to stick out to were it would make the car look off then i'll do them as well. now the next part is the wheels. i plan on getting the adr m sports wheels (18x8.5-9.5). my other concern is clearing the wide body with the different wheel widths with correct or as close to correct camber as possible. the car is more of a straight line car rather than drift, road race, ect. so i want the wider wheel and i want it to fill the wide body as well. i've also had a really hard time finding pics of the wide body cars and details on the size and wheel sizes, maybe someone can post up a few or has a few ideas? what should i do?

thanks for the help, chris

i'm guessing the 50mm ones are 20mm wider compared to the 30mm ones

more ppl may be able to help you w/ the specifics if you post in the wheels & tires section of the site.

50mm may be a lil drastic because you will also have to get some major low offset and wide wheels for that. But if you can get it flush, more power to you.

Might I suggest fender rolling and fender flares?

i2ice, i was refering to the looks not actual measurements.

brokeas240sx, i thought about that but i couldn't find anything about this issue in that forum so i figure i would see if anyone on the site has already done this. it would be hard to believe that nobody has done this already. i also dont really like the flares on the hatch and the wide body not only helps with the offset but really adds a nice look to the car as well imo.

thanks, keep it up.

there was a orange widebody s13 hatch on ebay recently. it had those same wheels you are asking about.

yeah the funny thing is i've been in that car several times lol. the car was built in tampa, FL. i know the previous owner that built the car originally and the two after. it had a twin ka in it when they had it. the guy that just sold it bought the car as it sat and put the sr20 in. anyways, i loved those wheels and they were a nice match for the wide body. the wheels wern't that wide though...if i remember correctly they were only 18x7.5 maybe. they just cleared the original quater panel. (the stock panel was never cut out when the wide body was on so the wheels would actually rub)

eh i guess i'll just have to try it and see if i like how it goes.
