I am wanting to get a aem wideband o2 and gauge but i ran into a miscomunication. it seems that everything i have read says that i cannot simply remove the factory o2 and instal the new one splicing it to the ecu. apparently i have to take my turbo dump pipe (elbow) to a shop and have them weld on a second bung. Is this correct? And if it is then why is it that all the elbows i have researched (need a new one anyway) only come with one bung? Is the a company that sells an outlet with two bungs? also, has any niconauts tried the inovative wideband o2? Any imput would be appriciated thanks.

UEgo is good. You could also do it in your downpipe too.

My AEM uego instructions said not to put it that close to your turbo. I ended up putting mine on my test pipe

you need to be 18 to 36 inches away from your turbo

i've been using an aem wide band for years and there is a reason for the wide band to be approx18 to 36 inches a.k.a. test pipe area like fast_s13 saidthis is why it is called a test pipe when you put your car on a dyno they either install a bung or test pipe to fit the wide band for tuningyou should never put a wide band in the o2 housing

i put it in my test pipe, and tied the wires with cable clamps and screws, and ran it along the outside of the frame rail right at the floor. brought it back inside the frame rail just past the power steering stuff. tied it up to the firewall and heat sheilded it
