When everyone is talking about a o2 sensor are they talking about an actual o2 sensor or the box that tells you what you o2 level is. I looked up wide band o2 sensor and all it came up with is a box that reads the o2 signal? Is that what you mean by wide band o2? And if so, why would anyone buy one of those thing? Your paying $300 for a volt meter??????

A wideband o2 sensor kit should come with a o2 sensor and a box that goes inside. it replaces your factory o2 sensor. a narrow band air/fuel gauge (what a lot of people have) just splices into your fact o2 sensor wiring and gives u a rough rich/lean reading. wideband is what u use on a dyno tune or any tune really, really precise. anyone correct me if i got something wrong.

it is better to use the factor 02 AND the 02 from the wideband.

nb07, if you dont want to go to a dyno and use their stuff, you can tune on the streets with a wideband 02

All I'm saying is that there is no such thing as a wide band o2 sensor. All o2 sensors read from 0-1 volt. The box you buy is just a volt meter. It reads the the o2 sensor voltage. Why would you spend money on it. If you have a volt meter you can just splice it in and read the signal??? Does this box do anything else???

You're wrong. Go read some more if you insist on disagreeing with us. Wideband O2 sensors output from 0-5 volts and have a highly calibrated display. If you think you know enough to be able to determine A/Fs precisely from looking at a 0-5 volt scale, then you can beat the system and not buy the box.

some cars come with a wideband o2 factory, suchs rsx-s (i just know cause my friend has one) and he can get accurate readings and tune from it by having a hondata system. when u get ur car tuned/dyno tuned with a wideband, usually they pull ur o2 sensor out and put theirs in hooked to a laptop or similar. if u got something like a standalone system, or i think the aem ems does it too, u can run ur own wideband and see/tune on a laptop.

us nissans arent fortunate enough to have a wideband from the factory. just get a wideband 02. you WONT regret it!
