Why you shouldnt use Lucas or other additives to your oil('s)!!

Simply for the fact that these additives make a stronger surface tension which traps in air. Not to mention strengthens the buble's tension of air that gets trapped under the surface. You dont want to have airpockets in your oil!

Most regular synthetic motor oil has antifoaming blended in to prevent this, but when you add something like an additive that wasnt formulated to be in the motor oil in the first place the oil may become unstable.

Interesting demo. I've used this product in several cars with no ill effects. Having this product mixed with my engine oil. Never have I seen any frothing on my oil dipstick or when changing my oil. Having done both shorty after stoping my car.

thats why i dont put anything in my oil. Mobil 1 is good enough.

thats true Mobil 1 is great, i use 10w-30, what do other people use here?

i think I used 5w-30 mobile1 full synthetic, forgot, everytime I change oilk I need to look at manual lol

i use valvoline 50 oil.

i use(cant quite remember the exact weight) valvoline syn power 20w50 in the summer and mobil1 10w40 in winter.

Castrol GTX 20w-50 I've never had a problem with an additive.. helped a lot with the KA motor.. had a valve ticking noise. Added additive and poof, it's gone!

i have used lucas in every motor trans and rear end i have ever owned...not to mention i use it mixed 50/50 with 5w 30 synth oil as a break in oil on every import motor i have ever built... not once did i have a problem with it...
