i bet i could fix it, i have the power of duct tape!

on a lighter note, i used to think it would be hard to pull a 1.8T engine/transmission from an audi. they've proven me wrong.;)

it seems obvious that the occupant or occupants could not have survived, yet i am supprised at the lack of blood & gore inside the car that i expected to see

Ouch, that was a wicked bad wreck. Agreeing with cyberkrieg, the occupants couldn't have lived. Must have hit sideways, airbags didn't blow and car is friggin cut in half!

My guess is that they weren't wearing their seatbelts and they were flung from the car. They might be the objects covered by white sheets you can see in some of the pictures.

On one hand, that's a crazy accident. On the other, it reminds me of the Herbie movie where Herbie splits into 2 and the rear half finishes before the from half :D

i always tend to speed at least 5 miles over the speed limit. driven 4 years. no speeding tickets or accidents. Though 90 is quite differnet from going 35 in a 30.youd be suprised at what people can survive. my buddies rolled down a 50 foot cliff in a scubie and not a scratch on them.

Well, I dont think the driver felt anything. But I sure would hate seeing it coming.

That has to be the worst wreck I have ever seen. Better him/them then me.

And then there comes me, the excessive speeder, who's trying to be like Greg and be smart about it. Ask him, he'll tell you he speeds, but only on the highway, and always very cautiously.

Godspeed to them both.

that is an insane wreck. I am too surprised by the lack of blood in the vehicle. They no doubtedly must have been ejected from the vehicle somehow.

Read the thread that goes along with the pictures. It seems as though the driver lived. He was thrown from the vehicle and with some devine intervention he survived.

EDIT: Nevermind... I read it wrong... that was some other dude piping in about his own accident that he survived.

I guess this guy must have gotten tossed and splattered around another tree or the ground.

that's not a 60mph crash though, otherwise Audi'd have one hell of a lawsuit for safety issues...

my 80 mile an hour adventure with trees looked light years better then that, hit about he same spot only driver's side and my door wasn't left wrapped around a tree:)

I wondered about blood too, then noticed a big sheet and a little sheet:( I'm guessing driver left in several pieces.

That same type of a crash happened to me and my best friend two years ago exactly (march 22) in his prelude. hit his drivers side door, he died, I survived w/ brain injuries. His car was pretty crunched, but not in two pieces. well, it was after they had to cut the roof off, but, yea. I have no idea how fast we were going either.....I can't remember that night much :/

The speedometer cut out at 90 if you look at that one picture.

god that sucks Ben, I also had a similar wreck 3 years ago, almost exactly. I was the hurt the most with a barely broken ankle thankfully.

speeding like that just doesn't pay.

Live by the sword... die by the sword.

But there are accidents, some of which could have been avoided and others not.

If you ever want to see some horrific accidents, go to rotten.com. WARNING:If you don't need to look then don't because some of the stuff they have there will never leave your mind completely.

rotten.com is super nasty. There are a couple motorcycle accidents that I will never forget. One in particular has brain splatter across pavement with a cop kneeling over it. NASTY!

rotten.com is not a place most people want to go. It is true that some of the images will never leave your mind no matter how hard you try to forget them. Carnage. If you go there, be ready for the worst.

yeah, i'll second that....there was a pic of a ferrari wrapped aroud a divider, and parts of thedriver too.....a LARGE part of why i do not speed unless it is a controlled environment any more.
