Ok hee it is my friend put a stock S13 motor and turboed it on a Datsun 510. No one of the problems his having is when he turns the car on he says it idles fine but when he drives off on it and makes a stop the car wants to die on him. Any ideas whats going on. He is running everything stock motor, ecu. Second question is he says it keeps getting hott about 210 F'. Is that to hot?? His running an 8" and 10" fan on his radiator. Any help. Thanks

Sounds like the idle air control valve needs to be cleaned. it's a pretty common problem with ka's... the rpms drop really low(like 400-500) or the motor stalls when the gear is abrubtly changed to neutral and the motor's revs drop to idle.

Tell your friend to buy a can of seafoam($5) and run it through his idle hose and brake booster..

Anyway 210* isn't overheating, but it's probably not the most comfortable temperature for turbo ka's since that temperature can rise pretty quickly under boost.
