why would i have this

my starter solenoid went out on my 93' 240 ka, when i bought i new one (had to wait 2 damn days for it to be shipped in) open the box and its the wrong one. come to find out i have a hitachi starter, which the dealer told me was not produced after '90. and that i should have a mitsu, ive had to order the sohc one instead. ( have to wait till 14th for that to come in )

im wondering why i have a starter that was sopposed to be on the sohc but its on my dohc. and its not been replaced. this is probible falling on deaf ears but just thought id ask.

from my experience the sohc and dohc starters are the same
