Why would i be charged LIPSCO fee?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Planning on buying a car in NY, dealership is billing a $77 LIPSCO fee on top of dmv fee.

Any help would be appreciated!

This fee is an admin fee to complete the paperwork from the dealer/finance company to send over the title and docs to the 3rd party to complete the transaction. I also have this fee of $55 in CA. The fee can also be called the doc fee or admin title fee, etc.

I think everyone has this fee. It is from the state for what I have seen.

The dealers have to pay this no matter what. Its all about making money any way that they can. Welcome to the wonderful world of life!!!
