I recently swapped a newer ka motor and 5 speed into my kouki, and changed the engine bay harness in the process. This was to allow me to use the 5 speed trans harness, and to need to have the clutch pressed to start the car. I did not swap the interior harness, and think this is the problem. The car turns over, but doesnt start. And I don't hear the fuel pump turn on. But I have power to the fuel pump fuse and relay. So I can only assume the problem is in between the relay and the pump itself??Any one have this situation??Any suggestions?? My kouki is just sitting there....

Sounds like a weird problem, maybe the pumps gone bad. To check just pull the cover off in the trunk and while the pump primes for about 3 seconds after you turn the key on, check to see if there is any voltage running through. If it is, I have a spare stock 91 s13 KA one in my garage that I'll let go for cheap.

Unhook the fuel line from your filter and turn your car on and see if your getting fuel up to there.

Negative, just pulled the lines and cranked it. Nothing....I do not hear the pump turn on, for sure. I pulled a 5 speed dash harness of my parts car today, and from the dash harness to the interior harness there are different plugs. The automatic interior harness has two extra plugs then the auto harness. Im going to take pics now. Has no one swapped harness's before?

i think auto and standard ecus interchange dont they? you should have just wired it up without the clutch pedal sensor. Idk if theres a difference in the engine harness really, you would think you could use the same harnes since your just changing transmissions.
