I have a 92' fastback with 110,000 miles on it. Today while I was driving my car it was running strong until I stopped at a stoplight. When the light turned green and I pressed down on my accelerator my car wouldn't go any faster then 15mph. It was like my car was stalling, and wouldn't want to go any faster. I've had the same problem before, before I did a full tune-up on my car, but now it's back again. The only problem I know which could be the problem is a hole in the muffler, which a mechanic told me about when I did the full tune-up. So far I've had my catalytic converter replaced, I've had my oil changed, fuel filter, coolant changed, and today, before the problem occured, I added one full bottle of Seafoam in the gas tank. What could be the problem with my car?

if that doesnt fix it check your maf. will it let you rev over 3000 rpm's if not then its your mass air flow sensor.

Just unplug it and replace it, should be about 50-75 from a junkyard.

check the fuel pump fuse. passenger side of engine comparment. pull the fuse clean it and reinstall. if that fixes the problem get some eletrical cleaner and on a day you don't drive clean all the fuses. electrical cleaner is ver very flamible when it's wet so don't do it with a hot motor.

anyways my engine started hesitating then died on me. cleaned the fuse and no more issue. hope this helps
