I knew this would come to me if I thought about it long enough. But, please don't make this a flame thread about "how stupid nissan is for using rocker arms", "rocker arms are a weak a$$ design", etc. I'd like for this thread to stay OPEN.

Anyways, I remembered reading that nissan used rocker arms because with a rocker arm design, more aggressive cam profiling can be used.

And rocker arms can't be that bad if cars like Mitsu's Evolution series uses it :)

Its not that it allows for a more agressive cam, is that it exaggerates the lift of the cam, allowing for a sort of simulation of an aggressive cam.
