why was my steering wheel rattling or vibrating pretty decently

On the highway i was going around 100mph, and my steering wheel started vibrating. Before it would shake and i brought it to the dealers, and they fixed a dent in the rim and did a wheel allignment

So is it because i am running cheap tires?

Was the wheel balanced after the dent was fixed? If not its recomended that you balanced all 4 wheels. If your gonna be doing high speed runs at like 100mph make sure your tires are inflated to the correct PSI. You wouldnt wanna experience a blowout.
