Stillen is a NICO sponsor... No need for "Group Buys" arranged by members.

If they're not giving you guys a "group buy" price anyway, then I need to talk with them...

i think he was trying to see how many people would be interested in getting in on a group buy. I forget which moderator but one of them told us it was ok to take interest polls. They said we can't start group buys without the group buy being approved by the moderators and the company. But I thought nyblkcoupe started an interest thread.

By the way, I have no interest in getting the front splitter and I could be mistaken so can someone please clarify if interest polls are ok?

I specifiaclly got an email from Adidas that it was not......

All group buys must be approved by an altima moderator. The reason is, when you create a group buy interest poll, it pressures STILLEN into doing something they might not want to do, plus it gets people hopes up. If you would like me to talk to STILLEN to see if they are interested in doing this, I will do so, however, you just can't be creating interest polls on behalf of companies.

Thanks,

Blake (adidas2go)

But Stillen has been doing alot of group buys for us latly so they may want to take a little break. lol Like I said I don't have any interest in getting the front splitter since I allready have the front lip but good luck.

Ya guys, that's the way its gonna have to be. We are doing some things around the forums to get all the crazy marketing in check. If you want to create an interest poll just let me, or one of the other altima mods know. It doesn't really matter if you guys create them for companies that aren't sponsors here, but, it becomes touchy when they are sponsors. So, just to make sure everything is on the up and up now, just email us before doing things like that. Thanks.

Whoa, i love stillen and all but If we can pressure them to do something i think that is great.

the people speak.

Im sorry i dont want to cause trouble. I will follow the rules.

I think we should be able to pressure the heck out of stillen and get the cheapest price possible. Like if stillen doesnt do what we want we can take our business to "MARK III CUSTOMS".

We defenetly don't want to pressure Stillen into something they don't want to do. Stillen is a great vendor and they hook us up alot. The last thing we want to do is piss them off so they stop group buys all together. Give them a little time and they will continue to hook us up. Stillen has been a great vendor, so the least we can do is be good customers.

you have to realize that stillen does have to make some sort of money in the long run - if we keep pressuring for cheaper and cheaper prices, there will be no more Stillen in a little while.

When it makes profitable sense, I know that the guys over at Stillen are all for helping a group of us out. But throwing GB's at them every other week isn't a good idea. Remember, they have to handle more than just our altima coupe...

And they definatly still make money because they get alot of buys off of it it still works out for them. Otherwise why would they do it. And hey if i get a good deal ill definatly throw a front window sticker of theres on my car. I wish i could get sponsered but i just don't know how to. lol

By far, Stillen has offered (this forum at least) a lot of great group buys! Yes they are a company that make a lot of money yearly but remember, companies are in business to make money, not loose money. In Stillen's case, i wouldn't doubt it if some of the group buys they offered us, they broke even on. Remember, Stillen or other companies are not obligated to give us a group buy but they know what the people want and they deliver great products every time!

IMO, Stillen has made my car what it is today! Thanks Stillen I couldn't have done it with out ya!

Alright thats enough praise for stillen. they are great and i thank them.

You give them money they give you a product. They def made money on every group buy. All products sell for atleast twice the cost. They get tons of money from group buys. The wouldnt have sold half the eibachs if they didnt do a group buy. Group buys make people purchase more.

Take it easy, they are loaded.

Be careful. They are a business, and they make money, but they do A LOT for this community. They deserve every bit of praise they get.
