I know people have hit on this topic before, and i have looked around but cant seem to find the answers im looking for. When you run NOS without changing the computer... it goes boom. Im guesssing because it runns lean because not enought fuel. But if you use a NOS Wet system, then by injecting fuel with NOS, wouldnt that take careof the prob? I'm sure there is something i'm wrong about because theres too many smart people on here for it to be that simple. i havnt heard of any other cars that you need to change the ECU when u run spray. by tunning the ECU you can use the NOS more effecientaly, but still usable without. What gives?

Read Q45tech's post on how NO should be metered gradually instead of dumped all at once.

NO is like crack for engines anyway.

With the right (or is it wrong) amount of NO you can make a motor go boom, if you don't re-tune it to support the NO.

You may find more info if you don't look specifically at NO in a Q, but NO on any car.

honestly i think that the best setup for a Q might be a wet setup... Honestly, the JWT setup is a bit excessive, plus you can have a gradual shot like Brian said.

After seeing the first "The Fast and the Furious", I desperately wanted nitrous. I was about 15 at the time and couldn't drive for ****, let alone have my own car. An older friend of mine gave me some advice on it. He told me that for the amount that I would spend to have it installed properly and the modifications I'd need, I'd want to use it all the time to justify it's cost. The downside of excessive nitrous use he said is that I'd be replacing the motor possibly annually. He said that if I wasn't using the nitrous to win races and get cash prizes to fund the motor swaps, there wouldn't be much of a point in getting it.

I don't know if it's gotten cheaper, nor do I know the subject intimately. I'm just sharing what I was told. If I'm wrong, please correct me. Just be nice.

So do you think it is possibly to just run a small shot wet system with out doing the ECU? I called JWT once and i believe they quoted me, for everything, around 1600 bucks. (tho my memory could be off) Arnt the LS1 chevy motors the same setup as ours? Distributorless, Knock Sencors, and so on? They can run with a standard wet system($$600 to 800$$) without a problem. Is it possible?
