Hey guys,

I just purchased an 87 ZX 2X2 nonturbo and noticed when my brother was driving it home and I following him that the rear wheels are slanting in at the top a bit. My brother thinks it's been lowered (it's about 5 or 6 inches off the ground... literally). My brother thinks it may be the camber??? And that the springs might have been cut and wheels moved in a bit to allow clearance? I really don't mess with suspension alterations... just engine work. Can anyone point me in the right direction on what I should be looking for?

Thanks,

Danniel

the Z31 has a common problem with the rear springs sagging with age and truely they are kkinda soft when new, the rear uses a semitrailing arm suspension that casuses drastic camber change as it is lowered or just sags with aga, I think the 2+2 uses different springs from the standard but in the 2 seat chassis the 88ss springs are the stiffest tallest available, you could always go for full coil overs and run high spring rates with high preloads, or just get used to the camber and tire wear, there is a camber bolt kit available but it can only make a modest improvement
