Also, i seem to be seeing a lot of people confuse ticking and rattling. The ka24e has a common problem with rocker arms ticking when the engines havn't been run in a while. Throw some marverl mystery oil in there and warm it up, then rev it a few times. This usually gets rid of sticking rockers. Next time you post...stay away from the engine for an hour or so before you start typing...i know i get pissed at engines like that too, i just calm down before i go chewing on people
Marvel mystery oil works? My ticking is either my rocker arms or valve stems. but I think the rocker arm(s) are actually loose, not stuck. I have a ticking noise coming from under the intake manifold/engine on the side of the injectors (although injectors tick too). The only rattle I have is at startup (timing chain, but someone said its probably due to low oil pressure). I basically need to take it to someone knowledgable to get an idea of what exactly is wrong.
If you find out for sure what the noise is, let us know.
