So.... Why did YOU choose this car? The real reasons, lets go to your basics, and maybe we can learn why our forum is the way it is!!
2006 Infiniti M45 to a 2011 Nissan Altima Coupe? Oof, I feel sorry for you.GoldieATX wrote:I just knew my 2006 M45 was about to start costing me a lot of money, so it was time for something new. Drove a Maxima SV, but I couldn't shake the thought that it was the same car, only not as good. I wanted a 370Z, but was disappointed to find my wide self wouldn't fit in the seats (and let's be honest--it's only practical as a weekend car). I drove a Fusion Sport, R32, Challenger R/T, A4, Optima SX and more, and I found faults in all. The only surprising candidate was a 2011 Ford Edge Sport, but I just couldn't get the price I wanted. I thought of waiting for the new Golf R, but it just didn't seem worth the wait (nor the price). So, after prying myself out of the Z, the Altima was next on my to-drive list. It fit all my needs--smaller, cheaper, more efficient than the M; reasonably quick and fun to drive; good looking inside and out; great technology options; reasonably priced for a 2010 or later model. The only thing I'd prefer is RWD. Factor in a great Memorial Day deal and a 3-day weekend test drive, and I decided my search was over. A new 2011 Altima Coupe 3.5SR was mine. It took a few weeks to forget about the power and luxury I gave up, but I'm really liking my AC.
Oh, and the honest truth is that I spent a lot of time on these forums while shopping, and I appreciated the community and aftermarket options (regardless of whether I end up going the mod route) that I found here.
Oh by the way. New Slate AC 3.5 owner here. Hello all.

I did extensive research on the Accord Coupe during my car search...the spectacular engineering failure of the disk brakes, coupled with Honda's inexcusable denying of the problem for years, originally blaming the requisite 8,000 mile brake jobs on user wear and tear - made my decision very easy!angelbones wrote:I forgot to add in the Accord coupe. Although Honda owners are smug about their cars, I still think the Altima is better. Equivalent performance and mpg. However, whenever feature for feature are compared, the Honda was actually about $1000 more. Also, I personally think the Altima looks better.
