You set your cruise control at 95mph!!! reallY?!!!! thats 150km/h !!?D-Roll wrote:So I'm on the interstate coming home, and a Scion Tc decides to try and keep up with me. Mind you I had the cruise control set at 95mph, so all of a sudden the Scion is right beside me. I stay in 6th gear and just punch it, watching the Scion's lights getting further away LOL. I get to 110mph and I realize Im not going any faster. What do ya know, the a/c has a governer on it My SpecV would of kept going!! I know, who goes over 110mph on all the time?? But damn I'm a lil disappointed now
I can't believe you. The last time I drove 65mph on a freeway in LA was at 3am with no traffic.MagicM wrote:It's america, when i was down in LA the average speed on the highway was literally 95 MPH, if you went 65 as per the posted everybody would blast right by you.
West Side Highway, Bronx River Parkway, Cross Bronx Expressway at 2am (otherwise it is often a stand still), Van Wyck Expressway - are all places that you can get yourself in trouble in NY.LongBeachCoupe wrote:nothing like taking your hands and eyes off the wheel to snap a picture while going over 140.... what a moron... Hes real cool...
And speeding is possible in NYC (nyc is 5 boroughs:brooklyn, staten island, queens, bronx and manhattan.. manhattan its hard to get over 80)...

i would hold them liable for limiting top end speed, what would happen if a Killer tornado came down, and was chasing me on the highway!, and all i could so was 110Mph. limiting speed should be fined with endangerment to people, and very unsafe.Repo Man wrote:Guys, again, a manufacturer HAS to limit a vehicle's top end to the tires that come with the car. If they didn't put a corresponding speed-rated tire on a car that could go 130 or 140 they would be opening themselves up to a HUGE liability.
yeah I'm sure we got the HP, especially if my 02 SpecV did and its the same motor pretty much.cuzzbubba420 wrote:I agree my freaking 97 Integra used to do 128 with no problem and I just think it's b/s to limit to 110. I haven't even went over 80 anyways but like he said earlier it's just nice to know that you can if you need to. Also, are you sure it was the govnah (lol) stopping you or just not enough HP to finish the job..?!?
No one compares to New Jersey drivers.Cold_Zero wrote:Try driving in Boston. I remember doing 95mph in bumper to bumper traffic, looking over to the right and seeing a guy in a BMW doing 120mph on the shoulder of the road, dodging people merging from the entrance ramp.
People talk about Chicago drivers, driving fast. They have nothing on Boston drivers. Chicago drivers tend to be more aggressive. People dont speed in NYC. Too much damn traffic.
How did you hit 120 if the speed is limited to 112mph? Did you remove the governator?Zerep wrote:I have hit 120 on i75(florida) and thats in my 2.5, but now that i heard about the t rated tires im worried
