I just picked up my 2009 Murano TI today and got it home to start playing with all the features that I have read about in the OS versions. Trouble is the Australian model is missing some key features such as Voice recognition for Bluetooth Phone and MAP navigation, NO IPOD socket in the centre console, but it does have the Aux port at the rear of the console, no Automatic Type pressure sensors.

I dont understand, why these features are not enabled as I suspect the wiring looms are identical to the Canadian/US.

So why Mr Nissan do you taunt us in such a way?

Welcome to NICOclub! Glad to have a member from down under! Cheers from the Murano Forum!

Sorry to hear you are lacking some features. I know with the iPod Interface you must purchase the LE (top end model with 20" rims). The S and SL DO NOT have the interface. Probably simply a matter of only including what is needed in a given market. Enjoy your new ride! Post some pictures if you get a chance, we would love to see the Outback!

Right with you.

Traded in my old 2005 model for a new 2009 model a couple of weeks ago and loving it. However, very sad to find out about the missing features. They did it with the 2005 model as well (outside temperature comes to mind).

The biggest loss for me is the music hard disk. Given the Ti model has the separate DVD drive for the SatNav disc, you would have though they could have kept the hard disc - it's probably more expensive to remove it and configure the computer accordingly.

The lack of voice control on the BlueTooth is also a bad omission. In fact, the whole BlueTooth system appears to be very basic - it doesnt even appear to be able to handle complete address book uploads from my Blackberry and the 30 contact limit is very low.

Hopefully some of these 'missing' features can be reinstated by a firmware upgrade during servicing. Might also be handy to have an email address of Nissan Customer Service in Australia so that they can be made aware of the wrath of owners!
