I don't normally read CNN, because its news for retards, but this was posted this morning.

Why no peace? Because you can't expect the palestinians to sit back and accept their fate, while having their land ACTIVELY taken from them. You want to talk about the legality of suicide attacks? How about the legality of continued STATE-SUPPORTED expansion of illegal housing settlements.

Remember, these are the same folks that tried to over throw the Sovereign King of Jordan (King Hussein I). They were allowed to live in his country in camps when they were kicked out of Israel. So they (PLO) tried to over throw the king. I must admit Jordan through America as a proxy had to rely on the IAF to get the Palestinians to tuck and run. These are the same folks that didnt help the situation in Lebanon with the ensuing Civil War. NO ONE in the region is clean pious. Not even us or the Russians. And this concept of Arab Unity is a bunch of crap. There are a lot of different types of Arabs that all hate each other, some more than others. This is probably the reason why Jordan and Egypt recognize the State of Israel.

The issues certainly run deep in that area of the world. Israel isn't going to quit expanding, and the Palestinians aren't going to back down. I wish I could suggest something positive. Unfortunately, this isn't going to end in our lifetime.

Why is it that Loyalists and Republicans were able to work out their differences and for the most part live in peace? Yet Israel and the Palestinians can't worth through these issues?

No offense but it pains me more when war breaks out in Lebanon (ie 2006 War).
