Does anybody else hate those stupid f***ing metal clips Nissan uses on ALL of the interior panels as much as I do? I CAN'T STAND THEM! It is probably the single worst idea in the history of really s***ty ideas. NONE of them stay on the panel and they usually cause the panel to break or something else really f***ing annoying.

NOTE TO NISSAN: STOP USING THE METAL CLIPS, THEY DON'T WORK FOR s***!

Sorry, this is my stupid rant post of the month.

Yeah! Start using those plastic bristled clips that all of the US automakers use. I'm tired of driving around in my QX4 with 130k miles and no noises. I wan't it to shake and rattle like my 2000 Chevy with 80k miles.

Seriously though, what's the problem? I just thought they were harder to remove.

The worst part is, they use both the metal clips and those plastic bristled clips on the same panels (in the cargo area)! It's a nightmare. If the panel has never been removed before, the metal clips are parctically welded to the sheet metal and they don't want to come out. If you pull and tug on it, either the metal clip comes off the panel and stays in the steel metal (which snaps off the tiny little piece of plastic which holds the metal clip to the panel) or the plastic support piece on the panel breaks off entirely and stays on the car.

Anyhow, I'm fine now, I just freaked out because I had three clips break off in a 30min. period. The cargo area trim is hell to take apart.

you can drill the stock panels and use the press type fittings. go raid a junk yard, or order from Toyota or Honda and pay out the wazzu!

Dude i have to partially agree with you. I love my Q..thing has 150k miles on it and runs 100 times better than my past cars with 75k miles. That being said, i had to take off my driver side door today and EVERY SINGLE plastice clip snapped off the panel and stayed in the door..AHHH WTF.

Fortuantly i was able to pry them out of the door with pliars and flat head, insert them BACK into the panel and the door popped back on fine. But damn it sucked.

another thought, ditch all the plastic/metal snaps, and go velcro!

Yeah, I hate those plastic clips. they either go right through their surroundings in the door, or they break.
