I'm surprised Infiniti doesn't cover this even after warranty expiration.
A freely moving seat while braking/turning/cornering is a HAZARD!!
Can you imagine if your seat moves during emergency braking and all of a sudden your foot slips off the pedal because your entire body is shifting forward?
What is the overall integrity of a loose seat? If you're in a hard hitting accident, is the seat more likely to buckle and shift even more? Are you at greater risk for injury from the accident or improper airbag deployment as a result?
It sounds to me like a Toyota mindset in play. "It costs too much too fix, so let's not do anything about it."
I know seatbelts have a lifetime warranty, and so should this.
My $0.02
There should be a way to complain to Infiniti with these concerns.
