well i figured i still had a good car in my firebird and not two days after i buy my 240 the heater core goes tits up on the way home from work. i know where the heater core is in that firebird and it ain't pretty. im getting a good christmas bonus tomorrow and i was hoping to throw all of it at the 240, but of course if it can go wrong it will. i don't believe this. no heater.........IN DECEMBER!!!! Oh yeah, the 240 is going to the frame straightener next week. i really hope the body shop guy was right. But since the drives straight when u let off the wheel i am not too worried. one question, anyone know where i could find a new or straight right fender? looked on ebay, found a nose clip but no fender.

Dude, you're in TX - No need for a heater (unless you're a woman). :D

Just bypass the heater core, and AZ is right, your texas, you dont need heat unless you want to have a visting hell simulation in your car!!!! Get the car fixed first, worry about the heater core at a later time. Fix whats important first!!! :)

If you can post pics before it goes to frame straighter, then post pics after!! Just an idea

Just because you're in Texas doesn't mean that it doesn't get cold...especially if you live in Amarillo...it's only a couple hours away for Colorado...they live in the desert so it gets really cold at night...and it usually get down to the teens where I live at least a half-dozen times a year, I know that isn't that bad, but still you need a heater...Austin is quite a bit further south, but it still gets cold there.

i've been to many winters in north texas. that's probably as cold as it gets for texas. austin couldn't be much colder than where i've been(25 degrees at the coldest) it was 20 or so here in nebraska today, and i had my windows down. i had a coat on of course, but kabon people.

You guys are pu**ies. I was delivering pizzas in 17 degree weather the day before yesterday. Last week I washed my car (by hand) and it was 23 degrees out. SUCK IT UP! haha

Why, when I was your age, I had to walk to school, through 30 feet of snow, with nothing but shorts, a hand me down t-shirt and a potato to keep me warm.

Ohhh.... 9 degrees.... whaaaaah

We were 9 degrees also.... BELOW ZERO!!! Monday didn't break into positive numbers until afternoon. The Coast Guard has started sending the ice breakers down the rivers a month early this year!!!! It's damn cold!

And I've heard just about enough talk of K-car's mom.

Good, she says hi!

BTW, she also mentioned that the cream you sent cleared that rash right up.

No, actually I introduced the two of them. And that's 'Big Daddy', but for an entirely different reason.. he just loves to 'back that a$$ up'!

seriously though, winter sucks here. Not because its that cold, but because yesterday I was out in my shorts washing my car, and today I wore 2 t-shirts, 1 long-sleeve shirt, 1 sweatshirt and a big *** jacket because its so cold. Its just too damn unpredictable.
